TRB500 with IPv6 Prefix not working

Have you made any progress here? I have the latest firmware on my TRB500, but I still have the problem

@simatec

Alas, no, and I can’t experiment easily because the TRB500 is at a remote site.

But I am not sure it is worth the effort because my ISP seems to block IPv6 traffic not initiated from the TRB500. For example, Wireguard running on the TRB500 works to an IPv6 only peer (verified using packet sniffing on the peer), but only when the TRB500 initiates the tunnel.

When I next visit, I will try again.

Hi,

I have the same problem. I have a TRB140 (I guess the firmware should be quite similar) and don’t get the /64 of the provider to my Mikrotik router. The TRB is in bridge mode, v4 works fine, but I cannot get the prefix relayed to the Mikrotik. I set everything in the WAN interface settings to relay.

I installed tcpdump on the TRB140 and see that the mikrotik is sending DHCP6 packets, but it never gets a reply:

IP6 fe80::7a9a:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx.546 > ff02::1:2.547: dhcp6 solicit

Is there anything I’m missing?

Thanks, Andreas

Unfortunately, this is the same problem as mine. But no one from Teltonika seems to be addressing the problem.

I too share this problem with my TRB140, there’s no IPv6 address assignment. Solicit requests go unanswered.

19:02:46.983433 br-lan M   IP6 fe80::e4f7:97ff:fea8:e759.546 > ff02::1:2.547: dhcp6 solicit

I have DHCPv6 enabled in server mode, although it’s exactly the same in relay mode.

Is delegation of /64 prefix perhaps the root cause of my problem in this thread?
Do you have any information or configuration steps on how to use a /64 size prefix with a TRB?

Unfortunately, I can’t answer that.
My issue is still open… There has been no response from the developers

i don’t think that i have same problem exactly but similar.

i have TRB500 device, and i want public ipv6 without local net ipv6, in this case fdxx::/xx. ipv6 from operator works, that’s not an issue. i have tried almost every permutation to remove local ipv6 without removing public ipv6 without success, like relay, server dhcp6 off, setting size prefix.

basically ipv6 works only if local net ipv6 works.

any ideas to fix this?

Hey @AndzejJ,
do we have any news on this?

I have the same problem on TRB501, it’s quite annoying…
