TRB500 - Slow connection on one device

Hi

I just recently upgraded my old 4G Huawei modem to a TRB500. My setup is as followes:
TRB500 → Unifi Gateway → Unifi Switch → AP Pro (V5 believe it is). And this is managed by a Unifi CloudKey. Has been good and reliable setup but needed some more speed.

Was happy with the upgrade which was quite straight forward. Now my devices connected to the WiFi can get about 450Mbps down and 60-70Mbps up. BUT, one of my PC (company PC) is caped at 56Mbps…and I cant figure out where it comes from. When I by pass the wifi system and plugg my PC straight to Modem or straigt to Gateway and/or Switch, I will get about 200-400 Mbps on it. Had no cap before with the old Modem and could have anythign from 40-115 Mbps on a 4G connection.

What am I missing? Does feel like the modem is doing something, but where could/should I start looking? Have been playing with network drivers, wifi system, firewalls and nothing helps. So going down this modem route to see if any of you peeps might know better.

my first guess is the PC or wifi, but havent been able to find anything unusuall in them.

Did you configure the TRB500 in “passthrough” mode in an attempt to circumvent the double-NAT that you would have because of both TRB500 and Unifi gateway doing NAT?
If so, that is the cause. In this mode the TRB500 cannot provide full speed. It is being looked at (I hope).

My Modem is set as bridge under LAN setting, is that it? or should I look somewhere else as well? What settings should I look at?

Network → Wan → Edit
Then Mode should be NAT, not Passthrough or Bridge.

Yep, had this set to NAT already

Hi micromikko,

Welcome to Teltonika Networks Community!

Can you try to connect your PC to a different Wi-Fi source and check if it is getting the same speed? There might be an issue with the Wi-Fi Driver of your end device.

Regards,

God morning

indeed yes, I have connected the PC to my smartphones hotspot and dont see the problem there. Gaining higher speed there
