TRB256 connection problem

Hello,

I ordered a TRB256 gateway with a 1nce brand sim card (IoT / M2M). But the gateway is not connecting. Does anyone know why? Thanks

Hello,

Here are a few things to check that might help resolve your issue:

  1. SIM Card and Antennas
  • Ensure the SIM card is inserted properly.
  • Verify that the antennas are securely attached.
  1. PIN Code
  • If the SIM card requires a PIN code, enter it in Network → Mobile → General under the PIN field.
  1. APN Configuration
  • Confirm that the correct APN is being used.
  • Navigate to Network → WAN → mobile_interface → Edit, disable Auto APN, and manually specify the correct APN for 1nce.
  1. SIM Slot
  • If the SIM card is in the second SIM slot, note that it is not active by default.
  • To activate it, go to Network → Mobile → General, select SIM 2, and toggle Default SIM.

Let me know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

Best regards,

Thank you for your quick response. There is no PIN and the SIM card appears to be in the correct place.
I think it’s an APN problem.
But I don’t have access to the APN configuration settings.
The URL http://192.168.2.1 does not work.

Best regards

Hello @GIRERD,

It seems there might be a slight misunderstanding. For the TRB246/256, the correct IP address to access the WebUI is 192.168.1.1, not 192.168.2.1. Please try accessing the WebUI using this IP address.

Additionally, the default IP address is typically displayed on the label at the bottom of your device.

Let me know if you encounter any further issues or need additional assistance.

Kind regards,

Hi, I made the settings as instructed and connected to the TRB256. But I still don’t have a mobile connection.
Best regards

Hello,

Thank you for the update. Could you please provide a screenshot from the Status → Network → Mobile page to help analyze the issue further?

Additionally, could you try changing the PDP type to IPv4 only in Network → WAN → mob1s1a1 interface settings and see if that makes any difference?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,
