TRB246 modbus serial client - data request not working

Hi,

I have connected a TRB246 gateway to an Eastron SDM120CT-M meter via RS485 in order to read the meter data. However, when I click yes it says ‘Request failed, result: communication error: Operation timed out’. I have connected the D+ pin on the gateway to the positive pin on the meter, and D- to the negative. I have selected the correct settings from the meter, e.g. baud rate etc. The cable between the RS485 pins is a twisted pair and is solid in the ports. This post seems to suggest that the R terminals need to be bridged with the D terminals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution found from other topic. I had not bridged the D+ terminal to the R+ terminal and the D- terminal to the R- terminal. Everything works as expected now.
