Hi, I have a TRB246 with connection issues.
Connection can work for days in a row, and then suddenly not anymore.
Same SIM is working in a RUT240 and a new SIM doesn’t solve it either.
How do I diagnose this?

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out!
Did you try factory reset to resolve the issue?
And also I need a bit more information. Can you please log in to CLI, username should be root and password is the one that you’re using to access WebUI.
May you please run logread | grep -i sim and share the output with me?
And also can you please share the gsmctl -A AT+CPIN? output of this command?

Hi,
I tried a factory reset before, it did not solve the issue.
And recently I rebooted to regain connection.
Hello,
From here everything seems normal.
Can you please upgrade the firmware to latest version and monitor for a couple of days?
Please let me know about the updates.

Hi,
I did a factory reset and I updated to the latest firmware, but I still have issues where I loose connection. When I go and look at the LED’s, signal is blinking and there is no connection to the cell tower.
I tried inserting the sim into slot 2 in case it is a hardware issue with the slot. But I did not get a connection and it seemed as if the device kept rebooting, at least that is what I think because I could see the LAN connection status from the TRB to my laptop continuously turning on and off.
After putting it back to SIM Slot1, I have connection again.
But this is not stable behavior.
What is wrong?
Here is a new output:
Hello,
Port speeds shouldn’t fluctuate that much. And if bootloader didn’t solve the issue,
there may be HW issue. I believe the warranty is still valid.
Would you kindly get in touch with your reseller to start the RMA procedure?
Regards,
Caner
