TRB245 Web UI blocked – RMS Connect credits issue?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with a TRB245 to upload data to RMS. Sometimes I need to check the communication on-site remotely. However, today the Web UI is not working.

The client tried to access it several times using the wrong credentials and now the Web UI appears to be blocked. I also tried to fix the issue, but the Web UI still doesn’t respond. I’m wondering if this might be related to a lack of available credits for RMS Connect.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Could someone please explain how the RMS credits work? I understand there are:

  • 1 credit for RMS Management
  • 1 credit for RMS Connect / remote access

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

The IP block (TRB245 Administration - Teltonika Networks Wiki) feature automatically blocks an IP address after a certain number of failed authentication attempts (10 by default). This is a security measure designed to prevent brute-force attacks. If a device fails to log in 10 times, its IP address will be blocked, preventing further access to the router.

Could you please clarify how you tried to resolve the issue?

Are you currently trying to access the WebUI remotely or locally?

If the issue is related to an IP block and you still have access to the CLI (Command Line Interfaces RutOS - Teltonika Networks Wiki), you can try the solution provided by ottow here:
Clear IP block list via SSH (RUT240)

If you are trying to connect to your device via an RMS remote connection link but cannot, it is likely that your device does not have sufficient RMS credits.
