I’m trying to do a new deployment of a Victron MPPT 75|15 using a Teltonika 4G router with a serial port server to send the ve.direct data over IP. I succesfully attached the ve.direct serial port to the serial port input of the router. Then I created a port server in the router with the configuration provided by victron por the serial comms.
As the router has a CLI, I can see that the router is recieving the data over the rs232 port:
I used the exact same cable in the 2 pictures above. For the TRB245 is a bare connector, only 3 wires are used (GND RX and TX). Those are connected directly to the TRB’s pin block. As for the RS232-USB I used in Windows is the same, they are attached directly to the GND/TX/RX pins in the board with the same cable (well they even have a little jumper cables/extension so it can connect to the male pins)
