TRB245 Network Connectivity Challenge

I have 5 TRB235 Units running via GSM SIM. The network provider has given me a private APN which assigns each sim card an IP address under the same range. I.e. Sim 1 to Sim 5 run the same subnet i.e. 10.100.0.1 – 5.

My current setup is to use one TRB as the server and the other as clients and use the LAN port of the TRB to connect a unit that should communicate with the different units connected to the other TRB.

TRB1 SIM IP VIA PRIVATE APN – 10.100.0.1 DEVICE CONNECTED VIA LAN PORT – 192.168.0.1
TRB2 SIM IP VIA PRIVATE APN – 10.100.0.2 DEVICE CONNECTED VIA LAN PORT – 192.168.0.2
TRB3 SIM IP VIA PRIVATE APN – 10.100.0.3 DEVICE CONNECTED VIA LAN PORT – 192.168.0.3
TRB4 SIM IP VIA PRIVATE APN – 10.100.0.4 DEVICE CONNECTED VIA LAN PORT – 192.168.0.4
TRB5 SIM IP VIA PRIVATE APN – 10.100.0.5 DEVICE CONNECTED VIA LAN PORT – 192.168.0.5

The drawing below indicates my setup.

The devices connected via the LAN Port will have a static IP within the range indicated and should communicate together [ Able to ping each other and also from TRB1 Acting as a server] seamlessly as if all were connected to a single switch.

What is the best protocol to use whilst using the TRB245

Hi,

If you’re using TRB245s for ports other than Ethernet, communication methods vary. For instance, if you have Ethernet devices connected to TRBs (not using the I/O panel), you can simply switch your mobile interface to bridge/passthrough mode. Then, the end device will use the static IP that TRB245 originally had. Alternatively, you can use VPN to connect each TRB245 device as LAN devices.

Best regards,

Do you have any VPN recommendations that would work using my network scenarios

For now I have used the below
L2TP over IPsec - Teltonika Networks Wiki (teltonika-networks.com)

IPsec - This is working and the “ServerTRB” can connect to “ClientTRB”
L2TP - This is working and the “ServerTRB” are able to ping each other “ClientTRB”

My challenage is if I do connect a device on the ethernet port of “ClientTRB” I am unable to ping any of the L2TP or TRB physical/LAN IP addresses. Could this be a routing or forwarding issue?
