TRB142 Mobile restart during remote web access via HTTPS

Hi,
I’m having a problem with my TRB142 modem. When I try to connect remotely (via VPN) to the web interface using https, the modem restarts, which resets the connection. This makes remote access impossible. Other protocols like SSH, server port, etc., work correctly.
Are you familiar with this problem and can you help me?

Additionally, could you provide more details about the configuration on the TRB142? Specifically:

  • Which VPN protocol is being used?
  • Are there any custom scripts running on the device?

Please navigate to System → Maintenance → Events Log and send the logs recorded before and after the reboot. Don’t include any sensitive information.

The problem is affecting a portion of our network (6 out of 15 modems).

The version is TRB1_R_00.07.19.4, but we are experiencing the same issue on TRB1_R_00.07.10.
The VPN used is OpenVPN, and there are no specific scripts involved.

Please update the device to the latest stable firmware version, 7.20.3 , and let us know if the issue persists.

Additionally, could you please clarify the following:

  • Did the issue begin after any recent configuration changes?
  • Do the configurations differ between devices that experience the disconnection issue and those that do not?
  • Do you have ping/wget reboot configured? If so, please provide a screenshot of the current configuration.

For testing purposes, please try the following:

  1. Disable Software Flow Offloading by navigating to Network → Firewall → Settings , then check whether the issue still occurs.
  2. Test using HTTP instead of HTTPS :
  • Go to System → Administration → Access Control
  • Click Edit on HTTPS
  • Disable Redirect to HTTPS

Hi,

The problem persists on version 7.20.3.

There haven’t been any recent configuration changes.
All our modems use the same configuration; only the VPN file differs.
There are no scheduled reboot pings.
I can’t find the SFO option in the indicated menu; there are only the invalid packet and conntrack helper options.
Using HTTP gives better results, as if the amount of data or the packet size affects the mobile process restart.
