TRB140 IPv6 in Passthrough Mode

Hi All,

I’ve got a TRB140, currently getting an IPv6 address from the carrier, I can ping from the WebGUI so I know the service is operating.

The Interface mob1s1a1 is set to passthrough, and I can see the IPv6 address populated, however my LAN device is getting an fe80::201… address which is an IPv6 link local address.
It’s also giving me an IPv4 address so that I can at least access the GUI to verify, confirm, etc.

Is there something that I need to do to allow the IPv6 WAN Address to passthrough?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,
you need to enable DHCPv6 on “lan” interface. This should start leasing IPs from carrier prefix.

Hi Simona,

Thanks for the response.

When I go into that menu it gives me an error

Do I just set the DHCPv6-Service as a Relay?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

try this configuration

Hi Simona,

Thanks for your response.

I’m seeing more IPv6 addresses now which is a good sign.
However, none match the IPv6 address that’s shown on the Teltonika dashboard.

I need to check with the Watchguard team how to setup a monitor but ensure that it uses the IPv6 protocol to check if the service is alive.

Thanks for your help!
