I have exactly the problem described in topic (see the post) but the context is different.
The five signal strength LEDs just keep blinking. We would like to recover the device
via fastboot, but are missing the right UBI or BIN file.
I apologize in advance, but I need help. We installed about thirty TRB140 routers a few years ago, and they worked fine until recently.
I recently discovered a bricked router. I thought it was a faulty router and replaced it, but in the last few weeks, it’s been happening to other routers as well.
Therefore I don’t think it’s a hardware problem but rather that someone tried to load custom firmware since the routers are reachable via the internet (and I found some with the password changed but still the Teltonika firmware)
Some vulnerability in version 7.02 has probably been exploited.
If I connect the router to my PC, I see that it’s booted in fastboot mode because the fastboot command recognizes it. I would therefore need the files to try to restore the firmware, perhaps with more recent versions.
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 17167.
So far I haven’t received any emails other than those reported here on this topic and the one regarding the completion of the form on January 5th (form that I completed and sent the same day)
Below is a brief summary of our remote session. During the session, I performed a fastboot procedure, which allowed us to regain access to the gateway. After completing the fastboot, we successfully installed the latest stable firmware on the device and recovered its functionality. At this point, the issue appears to be resolved.
Please let me know if you experience any further issues or have additional questions.
