Tailscale - Old vulnerable version in repo

Hi. I have recently aquired a RUTXR1 , in order to use tailscale for an offsite location.
It works fine, but the tailscale version currently on the repo is old and vulnerable.

This is what the tailscale dashboard shows:

Any chance this can be updated to the latest version of TS ?

Hello,

Thank you for the information. We will investigate the security vulnerability.

In the meantime, you can update Tailscale yourself. Here is a simple guide on how to do it:

  1. Access the router’s SSH/CLI.
  2. Execute this command to upgrade Tailscale: tailscale update
  3. Execute this command to restart Tailscale: /etc/init.d/tailscale restart

Kind regards,

Marijus

Ok, this seems to work fine. Although it shows a warning when i restart tailscale:

root@Teltonika-RUTXR1:~# root@Teltonika-RUTXR1:~# /etc/init.d/tailscale restart
Warning: client version “1.62.1-t8ee5801a3-g76428ac0b” != tailscaled server version “1.50.0-1 (OpenWrt)”
