Dear Teltonika Support Team,
We are currently working on establishing a connection between a Teltonika RUT241 (RUT241065000) modem/router and an Rohde & Schwarz CMW500 Radio Communication Tester as part of our lab testing activity for one of our product Testing for New Zealand region.
We are Unable to establish the connectivity between the radio network communication tester and RUT241.
While attempting to connect the RUT241 to the CMW500 network, we would like your guidance on the following:
-
Are there any specific configuration settings on the RUT241 that need to be changed or enabled to successfully establish a connection with the CMW500?
-
Do we need to configure any APN, network mode, LTE band, or IP-related settings for compatibility with the CMW500?
-
Are there any known limitations or recommended settings when using the RUT241 with network simulators or radio network testers such as the CMW500?
Tester configured as an LTE network. However, the LTE connection is not getting established.
Observed behavior (from RUT241 Web UI):
-
SIM card state: Inserted
-
Network type: 4G (LTE)
-
Operator: N/A
-
Operator state: Limited service
-
Data connection state: Disconnected
-
Mobile connection state: Setting up connection…
-
Connected band: LTE Band 3
-
Carrier aggregation: Inactive
-
Data received/sent: N/A
-
RSSI: ≥ -51 dBm (Strong signal indicated)
-
RSRP: Fair to poor
-
RSRQ: Fair to poor
-
SINR: No signal
Cell information detected:
- Cell ID, EARFCN, Physical Cell ID, and MCC/MNC are displayed, indicating that the RUT241 is able to detect and camp on the LTE cell transmitted by the CMW500.
Problem: Although the RUT241 detects the LTE cell from the CMW500 and Band 3 is visible, the device fails to complete the LTE attach and data connection. The router remains in a “Setting up connection” state and does not transition to a connected/data‑active state.

If you have any application notes, configuration examples, or best practices for this setup, it would be very helpful for our testing.
Please let us know if you require any additional information from our side, such as firmware version, current configuration, or test scenario details.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
