Static SIM Failover from WAN

Hello,

I’m located in Canada and we have an RUTM50. We are trying to set up a Telus static sim in the SIM1 as a failover for our primary connection, which is a wired internet connection from Rogers.

I have not been able to connect to the SIM network when using the static APN and DNS given to me by Telus. However, it connects when configured to regular mobile APN. I’m not sure of any other configuration changes necessary.

Telus seems ill-equipped to help me, as I’ve called in many times with no success. I think it may be an issue with my configuration so I am asking here. Has anyone ever ran a static sim who can help me ensure my configuration is not the issue?

Thanks for your response. I haven’t received an email, nothing in junk either!
