SSH Connection using Key over VPN Tunnel

Hi there,

I connected a linux system to a RUTX50 router to allow a remote access over the air. The authentification method for this system is a SSH key pair I already generated. I would like to open a VPN Tunnel to directly connect my computer (already having the right key) with the remote linux system.

Does anyone know how to set this up in the RMS Portal / Router? How should I procced?

Hello,

You will still need to set up the server on your router and the client on your end device (e.g., a Linux machine). Here is an example configuration for OpenVPN: OpenVPN Configuration Examples. You can also use other VPN options available for our routers.

If you don’t have a static public IP address, you might consider using VPNs like ZeroTier or Tailscale.
