Hello, we do have a problem with the RUT241. We cannot send SMS with it, because it will not get the sms message center number from our provider (Telekom/Ger). We did insert the number manually via console. After that everything works. But after a reboot it will delete the number.
Shouldn’t the RUT241 get these number automaticly from the sim-card?
Can you firstly clarify whether the Sim card used its only a data sim, or has a phone number registered to it? You can clarify this information with your ISP.
You can also check by putting the Sim card in your phone, and checking whether it provides SMS/call capabilities.
Its a sim card with number, data and sms capability. it works fine in phones. We tested it with iphone and android. We can do calls, send sms or use the the internet with it. We did find a workaround per console to write the sms message center number into the settings after every restart.
It works now for us, but normaly the rut241 should get the number from the sim-card.
