I want to send exactly one SMS, when the “input3” detects a rising edge.
When I just setup this without delays and conditions, then 3 SMS are sent when i supply 24V on the input (rising edge). And I also get at least one SMS when I disconnect the 24V from the input (falling edge).
I think the same issue was posted here in this thread:
https://community.teltonika.lt/t/configuration-i-o-input-rut200
I have:
RUT241
RUT2M_R_00.07.21.3
a)My first improvement was to add a “Trigger Interval” of 5s. This leads to one SMS will be sent when applying 24V to the input and also one SMS when removing the 24V from the input. Still i have the one SMS on the falling edge which is not my intention.
I also tried several approaches with conditions and delays, but nothing fullfilled my original desire: Just one SMS on rising edge.
My settings:
event1:
action
Greetings,
Apologies for the delayed response.
Have you tried adding a condition to check whether the pin state is high when the event is triggered?
You can then link this condition to the SMS action

I have tried also the combination that you have mentioned. Did not work as expected.
If I want to detect a positive edge, from my point of view, I should check if the status is “low” and in this state check if there is a positive edge? I have read several threads which describe in state “high” check for positive edge. But in my logical understanding this would not work if I just get one positive edge?
But I tried both, in state “low” and also in state “high”, to check for the rising edge. No try fullfilled the original requirement. Like I wrote, the best workaround solution is to get 1 SMS on rising edge and also 1 SMS on falling edge.
Hint: In my tests I really connected a 24V signal on a terminal clamp. So it’s a real signal and of course it is a noisy signal, when I insert or remove a cable in the clamp.
Greetings,
Apologies for the delayed response.
Could you please clarify whether you still require assistance or if the issue has already been resolved?
Best Regards,
Justinas
