Please, try resetting the device to factory defaults and try sending SMS again. There was a similar case here.

With a clean / fresh FW 7.05.4 there is no problem. I just can not use that option because of the many settings in the modem. So I hope your development team can investigate this and fix the migration-bug in version 7.05.5.
My old FW was 7.02.2. Migrating to FW 7.04.5 does work. I stick to this FW for now.
