Site blocking doesn't work on rutx11

Hello @Fax,

Thank you for the update; great to hear that.

In my view, the Web Filter service (without the proxy-based blocker) should be the most convenient and effective method for blocking access to specific HTTP(S) hostnames. The proxy-based content blocker only works with HTTP traffic, so it’s limited in this aspect and won’t work with all websites.

If you have any further questions or need further guidance, feel free to reach out.

Best regards,

Hello Martynas,
I think it would be better use proxy-based because you can block a lot of site, instead one by one…Can’t you make an update for this ?

But I have some problem with dns and to block the pc daughters’ on Lan2.
They cannnot navigate if I remove dns on their pc.
I have to write the the same ip gateway of Lan2 but the block site has some different with every one. It works in different way for every pc and I don’t understand why…
So i have a question please: how can I use or what do I have setting in network-dns- advanced setting ? listen interface or exclude interface (for LAN2 I mean)
THank you
Best regards

Hello,

Apologies for the delay. Could you please confirm whether the initial issue with site blocking from the VLANs has been resolved?

As for the DNS settings, selecting LAN2 or any other VLAN in the Listen Interfaces option will limit the DNS service to respond only on those specific interfaces. Typically, though, this should not be necessary to adjust in the DNS settings for general site-blocking functionality.

Best regards,

Hello Martynas,
Yes I solved. I’m sorry but I answered you by mail last month…maybe you didnt’ see it.
Thank you very much
best regards
