Simple VPN to browse LAN devices

Hello,
I am using a RUTX12
Using RMS Connect/Remote access I can ssh directly to my server 192.168.1.110 :good.

Now I want to use RMS VPN/VPN Hubs to be connected to my local network, to use terminal on my laptop and ssh 192.168.1.110. It is not possible.
What I am missing , I cannot even ping the machine ?
LAN / WAN forwarding has been activated on the RUTX12
A route has been added to 192.168.1.110
A traceroute to 192.1681.1.110 stucks me on 192.168.255.1

When connected with a wire on the RUTX12, I can ssh and ping 192.168.1.110 (no firewall problem on destination, address)

Thank you for your help

Hello,

Could you please tell me whether in the RUTX12, under Network → Firewall → Zones the LAN Masquerading option is enabled for all of the zones available? If not, could you please try to enable them, and save the changes?

Thank you,
Matas.

Hi there, @jv007 ,

I don’t seem to be getting any responses from you, was the issue resolved?

Regards,
M.

I have replied the same day I have received the email and you didn’t show up at the conference call.

Hi there,

No e-mail was received on my end, could you possibly send another one to the latest e-mail I’ve sent you? I’ve replied to your latest e-mail.

Thanks,
M.

Hello,

The issue was resolved by removing one of the VPN Hubs (since there were 2 hubs that both had the device added to them) and therefore removing the duplicate OpenVPN tunnel that gets created once a device is added to the VPN Hub.

We also edited the routes to route to the entire subnet of 192.168.1.0 instead of directly to the device while using the netmask of 255.255.255.0 and we also edited the gateway to be the device and not the RMS user. The pings started going through.

Regards,
M.
