Sim switch on data limits keep switching RUTX50 and RUT951

Hi there,

we’re trying to setup the sim switch in both a RUTX50 (fw RUTX_R_00.07.16.3) and a RUT951 (fw RUT9M_R_00.07.15.4). Our scenario is based on two SIM for each router using the same provider vodafone.it. Each sim is limited to 30GB of traffic a month.

I configured the limits for the two SIMs to 30GB and I configured the sim switch only on “data limit”. Other parameters are check interval 30, check count 3, switch to next sim after delay enabled and initial delay (min) 5.

The unexpected behavior I’m seing is in both router, after enabling the sim switch in the router config, the mobile network keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting even if we are not close to the 30GB limits. This happens more or less every 5 minutes.

In your videos you often mention this funcionality is for different providers. Our scenario is allowed?

Sound like they awfully intertwine with eachother, could you try disabling the “switch to next sim after delay” option and re-test?

Hi,

I confirm that after disabling “switch to next sim after delay” the connection is stable. I’ll keep it monitored for some days and report how it goes.
