Set interface properties regardless of the link carrier (If set, carrier sense events do not invoke hotplug handlers).

What is exactly mean ? Does it works with port “auto negotiation” ?

Hello,

“Force link” option, when enabled, should keep the LAN interfaces’ statuses “Up” disregarding the fact that physically, the Ethernet port is not even connected to the device. It works like this on all of our devices besides the RUTXxx series.

It will work with “auto-negotiation”, however, if the setting is enabled, it will simply ignore the result of the link negotiation.
