Serial over IP - use SSH instead of telnet?

Hi. I am trying to use my RTUXR1 as a serial console server, in order to access my Cisco router console port over 4G.
I was able to get it to work, using a USB-to-Serial cable, and Serial-over-IP settings.
But, currently, there are some limitations:

  1. I am only able to access it via telnet. (`telnet <custom_port>').
Is it possible to do this over SSH instead of telnet?

  2. Currently, some basic serial console commands don’t work, such as tab and up-arrow. Tab is supposed to auto-complete the command, and up-arrow is supposed to cycle thought the history. It seems like these characters are not being passed to the console.
