Scan Networks Rut956

Hello, I have put an RUT956 into operation. SIM card inserted and I can access the Internet - perfect. I set up the router via WLAN. When I now try to access the Internet from a campsite, I am disconnected and cannot see an SSID. The latest firmware is installed. Do I have to connect the router via cable to scan networks?

Hi,

Can you please explain what you meant by setting up the router via WLAN? Could you provide more details about the issue you’re experiencing? This information will help resolve your problem.

Regarding your question, no, it’s not necessary to connect to the router using a cable to scan the network. You can also be connected through Wi-Fi.

Best regards,

Marijus

Hello Marijus,

what I mean is that I did the initial setup via WLAN with the SSID and password printed on the back. I then set it up using the integrated wizard., I can access the Internet via my SIM card. When I try to search for WLAN access, the connection to the router WLAN (RUT956_5650) is interrupted. The same happens with the IOS app RutOS.

Hi,

Your explanation still seams a bit confusing. Can you provide screenshot of your configuration or what are you trying to do? Do you want to add additional WAN source via Wifi? Can you clarify what do you mean by WLAN? Please provide more information, as it will be very helpful in solving this issue.

Kind regards,

Marijus

Hello Marijus,
sorry that it is still incomprehensible. The way you have described it is correct. I would like to add an additional WAN source via WIFI. The exact procedure is not clear to me. Is there a detailed instruction?

Hi,

I have attached simple instructions to configuration example here: RUT956 Wireless - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Hello Marijus,
thank you for the description, unfortunately I still have no success. Once again my problem: I am logged in with my laptop on the router’s user interface via WIFI (SSID RUT956_5650). A sim card is inserted in the RT956 and I have internet access via this sim card.
Now I want to use a free Internet access at a campsite and log in there. To do this, I go to the router’s web interface and do the following:
Network>wireless, there I click scan2.4 Ghz
Immediately afterwards I am disconnected from the router. What is the error?

Thomas
