RUTX50 VRRP monitor primary/backup status

Hi, I am connecting a few remote sites with a pair of RUTX50 routers at each site, which are configured in a VRRP cluster for gateway redundancy. To monitor status of these routers, I use the MODBUS protocol and send the data that RUTX50 offers in its documented registers (RUTX50 Modbus - Teltonika Networks Wiki) to our main site.

I would like to also collect information about the VRRP status of all routers, mainly the primary and backup state. This information is not listed in the registers linked above. Is it possible to collect it in some way?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to monitor VRRP status using common methods like Modbus or SNMP. However, you can use the RUTOS API https://developers.teltonika-networks.com/, which supports VRRP status requests and offers additional functionalities.
