I have a RUTX50 router with firmware RUTX_R_00.07.12. I have a problem with setting up recipients. When adding an email account, I cannot enter the sender’s email address, which contains a double underscore “__” (my mailbox contains it). When I click “Save & Apply” the message “Failed to edit configuration” appears and the configuration is not saved.
Could you please confirm whether using a single underscore _ allows you to save the configuration?
Additionally, could you specify where the double underscore appears in the email address (e.g. at the beginning: __aaa@a.a; at the end: aaa__@a.a; In the middle: a__aa@a.a)?
My email looks like this: arek__84@aaa.bb
A single underscore in the email address allows me to save the configuration. When I change it to double underscore I get an error. I showed the details on the screenshots.
I can assure you that our R&D team is aware of this issue, and it should be addressed in future releases. However, at this moment, there are no specific details regarding the timeline.
As Marija mentioned, we will keep you updated as soon as we receive any feedback from them.
The changes regarding the use of a double underscore in email addresses should be included in the RutOS 7.14 firmware version. Unfortunately, I don’t have an exact release date yet, but I will let you know as soon as I receive any updates.
Thank you for the information about the new firmware version.
Unfortunately, the error still occurs in version RUTX_R_00.07.13.
I tried to delete and re-create the email account configuration and still the same.
I’ve attached a screenshot below.
