Hi,
How can i setup a scheduled restart of the mobile (WAN) connection at 4:30h every day?
Provider initiates a forced disconect every 24h. Therefore i want to control the time the connection restarts.
Thanks for all the tips.
All is revealed in the RUTX50 Manual, which is worth referring to if you require a ‘How-To’ answer. See here for the section on Reboot Scheduler.
The ‘Reboot Modem’ action, does what it says, and is faster than doing a whole device reboot. This may be sufficient for your needs ….. give it a go.
Often it’s the Provider that controls and dictates the timing of the connection reset not the Customer.
Thanks for this.
I did not see the ‘Reboot Modem’ action.
Exactly as you say, a full reboot was not what i wanted.
As an addendum …. if you’re happy with the general stability of your configuration, and have also configured ‘Ping/Wget reboot’; then you’ll find that the ‘modem reboot’ option is also sufficient and faster.
