RUTX50 - Question about SIM settings

When i first purchased my RUTX50 router and started using it, i could visually see the device onscreen switching masts, cells and the bands being used with regularity.

For some time now i seem to be fixed to a specific mast, cell and just two specific bands.

Can my network provider fix me or force, prioritise my connection to a specific mast, cell and choice of bands by sending me a text to change settings on the SIM. I have had an occasional text saying that the settings on the SIM have been changed, please reboot the device ASAP.

Mobile network operators often adjust their load balancing and prioritization to manage network congestion. This could result in your device being “steered” towards a specific mast, cell, or set of bands rather than switching dynamically as before.

Some operators enforce these changes remotely through carrier policies or SIM updates. When you receive messages indicating that SIM settings have been changed and a reboot is required, it could mean updates to APN settings, carrier preferences, or band selection policies.
