RUTX50 not connecting to 5G SA

hello,
I am having a problem, to get the RUTX50 connected to 5G SA. Tried to set 5G Mode to SA, but then it won’t connect at all. But I know that the carrier supports 5G SA, because on the same location, an iPhone will connect to 5G SA and have much higher speeds.

On the RUTX50 I get around 100Mbit/100Mbit. On the iPhone I get around 1Gbit/150Mbit.
Any ideas what I could try?

root@RUTX50:~# gsmctl -A 'AT+QENG="servingcell"'
+QENG: "servingcell","NOCONN"
+QENG: "LTE","FDD",420,01,6A57C01,249,1450,3,5,5,3AAE,-67,-9,-37,15,12,-240,-

thanks

no ideas?
there must be something I can try.

Hello,

Could you check which PDP type is selected? You can find this in the Network → WAN page under the mobile interface settings. Also, please confirm that the correct APN is selected.

Additionally, to manually select specific 5G bands, you can try selecting only the N40 band if that’s the only one your modem can connect to. To do this, execute the following command in the router’s CLI:

gsmctl -A AT+QNwCfg="nr5g_band",40

Then, save the configuration by running:

gsmctl -A AT+CFUN=1,1

Best regards,

Thanks for getting back to me.

PDP type, IPv4 is selected.
Also the correct APN is selected.

Running the command I get an error message.

root@RUTX50:~# gsmctl -A AT+QNwCfg="nr5g_band",40

Hello,

Thank you for the update.

Could you try selecting IPv4/IPv6 as the PDP type and see if that resolves the issue? If it doesn’t help, I’ve sent you a form to fill out. Please use “10233” as the ticket ID. Once submitted, we’ll reach out to you privately to investigate the issue further.

Best regards,

setting PDP to IPv4/IPv6 doesn’t resolve the problem.
i will reach out via the form.
