RUTX50 - Mobile data disconnected (internal modem)

I use my router for business and video conferences. So the connection is critical.

I get recuringly “Mobile data disconnected (internal modem)”,

This makes the router pretty much useless and unreliable!!! In need urgently HELP! because I need to work in 11 days mobile without any other internet connection as via RUTX50.

Hello,

Based on the information provided, it seems there may be more than just a connectivity problem. Have you made any additional changes to your mobile WAN interface? Additionally, you should check if your APN settings are correct. It appears that an incorrect APN might be causing connectivity issues.

HI… not as I know. The APN is set to ‘airtelwap.es’ for the Vodafone Spain SIM and to ‘internet.telekom’ for the Telekom Germany SIM.

The Issue starts anytime with the ‘Mobile data disconnected (internal modem)’ Log entry.

Hi,

Do you have failover set up? Also, consider adjusting the “Use gateway metric” setting for Vodafone to a higher value than Telekom_work.

Could you please take a screenshot of the Status → Network → Mobile page when a disconnection occurs?

Additionally, is the connection stable with another SIM card?

Hi, thanks for your feedback

I have now considered the Vodafone metric and changed it to 5 where Telekom Work is still at 6.
Failover has been disabled for a while to avoid interfering with this issue.
The same happens with the Telekom SIM and another Vodafone_DE SIM.
It feels like the disconnections are a bit less since the update to 07.07.1, but still there.
I will upload a screenshot the next time it happens.

Hello,

After analyzing these logs, I would advise you to check if you are using the correct APN for your mobile provider’s data communication. Additionally, please go to Network → WAN and click “Edit” next to your mobile interface. In the new pop-up window, set PDP Type to “IPv4” since your device attempted unsuccessfully IPv6 communication.
