RUTX50 Mobile data disconnected (internal modem)

Looking at the log it say “Config reload initiated”. Important to note is that I have NOT initiated that! It happens by itselfe upon network load!

As comparison. I also own a RUTX14, which works ok under the same load, same cell provider and network conditions. So clearly the RUTX50 suffer some bug behaviour or other issues.

Please help!

Perhaps you could update the device to the latest firmware (07.04.5), as there have been some improvements to the handling of the mobile connection.
However, it does seem strange if the [gsm.modem0] Config reload initiated message was not initiated by the user. Perhaps you have SIM Switch configured? The beginning of the logs seem to indicate that SIM card settings have been changed: Mon Aug 14 22:33:13 2023 kern.info kernel: simcard configuration has been changed.

Best regards,

I started this thread with that I was on 07.04.5 version and you (Teltonika) asked me to downgrade to see if it solved the problem. It did not. I feel that you are looping me in your assistance!

Yes the sim config was that I changed from auto to 4G only as you also asked me to see if that helped. I supplied the tread with this information also so you could understand the event chain.

After the change and modem was online, I generate load and the modem disconnect without any interaction with the router other that loading the network with traffic.

Disconnect happens randomly without me doing any config change. Like again this morning it happened again, no changes to config done the last 12 hours. Only interact that happened was that I started to use the network with data load.

Do you want me to supply you with any other dump files etc?

I’m soon giving up on this product!

Please help!

Apologies for the confusion with the firmware version.
To further troubleshoot the issue, a remote session would be needed. However, as we cannot exchange any sensitive data here, I’ll ask you to contact your sales manager or the reseller, and they will help you get in contact with our Helpdesk support team. If the reseller refuses to help, please fill out the Contact Us form here: Teltonika Networks - LTE Routers, Gateways & Modems for IoT
