RUTX50 Messaging utility - Failed to send a Text

We have around 80 RUTX50 routers, i have updated them all today to version

RUTX_R_00.07.18.3

And all of them now fail to text out or reply to sms commands. We use Three and O2 Sims, I have confirmed with both providers that there are no issues with sms. The routers are also receiving the sms messages just not sending them. I have been on a support call today and also reverted a router back to

RUTX_R_00.07.17.5 but this also didn’t work.

All the Sims are Unlimited, Auto Apn turned on

Try manually configuring the APN on one of them and see if it works.

Since manually setting the APN didn’t change the behavior, you can also try adjusting the radio access technology settings to see whether the issue is tied to LTE specifically.

I suggest testing the following:

  • Force the router to use 2G or 3G only and check whether the connection becomes more stable.
  • Temporarily disable LTE to confirm whether the problem appears only when operating on 4G.

These steps can help narrow down whether the issue is related to the LTE network layer or something else.

Thanks, tried this with a 3 sims and altered the APN to 3internet and still not joy
