RUTX50 LTE modem failure

Hello, my router’s lte modem became unstable after upgrading firmware via webui to the latest one.
I tried to downgrade it’s firmware using modem_updater but it failed due to sshfs timeout.

executing:
> modem_updater -v RG501QEUAAR12A10M4G_04.201.04.201

gives the following error:
[ERROR] Timeout while mounting with sshfs. Your ISP might be blocking ssh connections.

my router’s current firmware:
Firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.11
Firmware build date 2024-11-22 15:08:00
Internal modem firmware version RG501QEUAAR12A11M4G_04.200.04.200
Kernel version 5.10.226

packages installed using Package Manager (webui):
Modem Updater - 9.0
SSHFS - 2024-11-20-159ed9fdcd-1

How do i fix this ?

Hello,

Could you confirm if you’re using a wired WAN internet source from your ISP when attempting to upgrade the modem? Furthermore, it is not possible to downgrade your modem’s firmware through SSHFS.

If the issue persists, I’d like to investigate further. I’ve sent a form for you to fill out – please use “10768” as the ticket ID. Once submitted, we’ll contact you privately to provide additional assistance.

Best regards,
