RUTX50 HTTPS not possible?

Hello
After latest update to RUTX_R_00.07.12 I was not able to access my remote side. All Port Forwarding was not accessible. I did a factory Reset and configured everything again on site but didn’t get it to work.
Now I’m trying to configure everythin according to examples, lazy dogs found here. My ddns.net is working, I can access my remote side and configure. I have created certificates for HTTPS:

The certificate (ca.cert.pem) are also uploaded to my PC at home accordingly.
Still I get:

Is it possible to do above step from WAN or do I have to do it locally, LAN?
Am I missing something?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

For testing purposes, could you please try connecting your laptop or PC to a phone hotspot and see if the same problem persists?

Additionally, regarding HTTPS warnings, please check the wiki article here that might be useful for eliminating the mentioned warnings.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Best regards,

Thank you for quick reply, much appreciated. I deleted some certificates and lost access from WAN to my router. I will do a Factory Reset once at site next time. If I understood it right from threads red here HTTPS will work w/o any configuration on 07.12? My port forwarding will work once I generate Certificate for my ddns.net and later apply it on my router?

Yes, with firmware 7.12, the system automatically redirects to HTTPS by default without any additional configuration. Regarding port forwarding, it should work as expected by default. When you generate a certificate (according to the wiki example) for your ddns.net and apply it to your router, the HTTPS warning will be removed accordingly.

Best regards,

Hello Martynas
Facory reset and I got HTTPS to work but I had to load the created certificate to Google browser. Looking on the same page with mobile phone it says Unsecure. Why?

You have to load the CA Certificate onto every device that you use to access the RUTX i.e. the WebUI.

Sounds like you’ve already done it for your PC, so now you need to load the CA Certificate onto your phone.

As a general rule, the CA Certificate should be installed on devices as a ‘Trusted Root Certificate Authority’.
