Firmware downloads.
Firmware install begins.
Internet goes down.
Internet appears to reconnect.
Router unreachable using a browser and putty and SMS.
Desktop PC gets it’s static IP address correctly and all other ipconfig info correct too.
Desktop PC has no internet access even though it believes it has internet access and i cannot log back in to router.
No WiFi Access points available.
The three SIM LED’s are flashing one after the other back and forth.
I wait 1/2hr and decide to unplug, wait and then power up.
The router powers up, access to the router and the internet restored.
However, in the logs it says the upgrade is successful, but the firmware version is still clearly 7.14 and the UI says an upgrade to 7.14.2 is still available.
Tried upgrading from file rather than server, same process.
I also get an email to say that the router restarted at a completely wrong time. router is configured to reboot at 18:00hrs and then send an email at 18:10hrs. instaed it sent the email after i forced a restart by unplugging the router at roughly 16:30’ish hrs
The command appeared to complete successfully insofar as the process didn’t return an error. I then tried to upgrade from 7.14 to 7.14.2 keeping settings again and after a very worrying 18 minutes and what appeared to be a couple of reboots “possibly” the router became responsive again and i could log in.
Upgrade was successful this time.
However i think it’s important to say that you should wait a lot longer than normall for this upgrade to complete… Go put the kettle on and make yourself some toast!!!
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the longer waiting time.
If I understand correctly, the issue is now resolved — is that right?
