RUTX50 Firmware Anomalies

Today i was aware that a new stable version of my routers firmware was available, but i decided to wait to see if an automated email later in the day would inform me that an update existed.

Code used within the body text of the email reads:

Device Reboot Successful:

Date & Time - %ts

Network Information (After Reboot):
Internet Access - %cs
Network type - %ct
Network info - %ni
Signal strength - %ss
Cell ID - %ci

Server Firmware - %fs

The Teltonika website says:

My Router Says:

My Email says:

Hello,

The newest firmware might not be uploaded to the FOTA yet, that’s why you’re not seeing a new update being available.

Thank you Matas,

The latest firmware version available has now updated itself within the router, but the latest stable version is still incorrect.

Was version 7.17.4 a stable version? 7.17.5 seems to be the current stable version.

If i do an update, will i get 7.17.4 or version 7.17.5? I could just download version 7.17.5 i know.

Hello,

The current stable and latest firmware versions can be viewed within the firmware download page of the RUTX50: RUTX50 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

As of writing this message, the current stable firmware is 7.17.5 and the latest is 7.18.. If you update through the WebUI, you will be upgraded to the latest firmware, not the stable one, if you want to have the stable version, you’ll have to install it manually.

M.
