RUTX50 - Changing SIM

This may be a ridiculously stupid question, but i have to ask anyway… just in case.

My current 18-month EE 5G SIM is coming to an end. I can buy an identical EE product for another 18 months, which works out at £17 a month. Service and speeds have been excellent. Or i can try a Three SIM for 18 months, which works out at £11 a month.

I have a month to decide. Thinking of buying a one-month three SIM to try.

Switching SIM’s back and forth between EE and Three for testing purposes. Can this create problems with the router and what’s the best way to do it.

Simply switch SIMs without turning the router off! or switching off, change SIM and switch back on again. Is there a correct way and a bad way of doing this?

A neighbour is claiming excellent 5G coverage on her three SIM, but Three coverage according to Three and Ofcom is no way as good as EE

I frequently change the default SIM, when testing, without problems by going to …

NETWORK > MOBILE > GENERAL > SIM? > SIM MANAGEMENT : Default SIM = on/off

Hello,

You can configure a SIM switch based on specific events as described in this guide: SIM Switch Configuration.

Additionally, as Mike mentioned, you can manually select the default SIM in Network → Mobile → General → SIM Card Settings.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or need assistance.

Best regards,
