RUTX14 internal modem failure after modem firmware update

Today I updated the internal modem firmware on my RUTX14 and now the mobile connection permanently shows as disconnected. No other settings have changed, both sim cards are active and signal is decent. It was running absolutely fine before the upgrade (wishing I had left it alone now). The upgrade has clearly failed but on the WEBUI the only way to update the modem firmware is with a mobile connection, so I can’t re-do it. Is there another way to update the Modem firmware (CLI for example?) and if so, can someone please point me in the right direction of how to do it and where to get the file from? Many thanks, Scott

Hello Scott,

Thank you for reaching out.

Have you tried hard rebooting the device after the unsuccessful modem upgrade? Does it make any improvement?

Also, could you check and let me know which modem firmware version is currently displayed in Status → System page?

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hi Martynas, thank you for getting back to me. I have rebooted the router and performed a factory reset but the issue persists. It began immediately after the failed update.

The router firmware version is:
RUTX_R_00.07.12

The internal modem firmware version is:
EG12EAPAR01A09M4G_01.001.01.001

Kernel version:
5.10.229

Many thanks,

Scott
