RUTX12 Outgoing calls

Hello,

I need to make outgoing call using RUTX12. No voice conversations is necessary, just a call.

Using System > Maintenance > Troubleshoot > Modem debug.

ATD0037012345678;
I instantlly get response “OK”, but my telephone is not ringing. Telephone number was changed to the correct one.

Other commands:
AT+CPIN? ; +CPIN: READY OK

Please try the following command:
gsmctl -A “ATDXXXXXXXXXXX;”
Where X represents your country code + phone number.

The command can be executed from CLI. I get instant OK, but my telephone is not ringing.

I tested this command and it works on my router.
Can you please check with your operator if your current SIM card is not only a data card?

The sim card can be used for calls also. Tested using a phone.

Hi,
In modem debug page it’s not needed to have “gsmctl -A” part.
Please try to use “ATD+37061085939;”
Also, check if VoLTE is turned on, because Ežys is based on Telia network and Telia doesn’t have 3G, so if VoLTE is not active, call cannot be made (this module doesn’t support 2G)

Hi,

VoLTE was set to Auto. Selected “ON” option.
Modem debug page returns the same results. “AT command sent successfully” but telephone doesn’t ring. Tried several number but the results are the same.

Update:
Changed prefered network type to: 4G only
ATD command returns error now: ATD+37061085939; ; ERROR

I think that VoLTE is not active. If it’s activated, you should see word “VoLTE” in Overview modem’s card or in Status → Mobile page.

Yes, you are right, the Ežio SIM card does not support Volte technology. I got it working with Telia SIM card.

I tried this Telia SIM card before, but the calling function didn’t work. I’ve tried setting Volte back to Auto and 3G/4G to Auto, but the Telia card still works.

This shouldn’t be related with VoLTE.
I’ve configured my router as a “3G only” and I could still call a phone number.

However, I’m glad the issue resolved!
