RUTX11 & TAP200 Same SSID

Hi,
I have TAP200 connected to RUTX11 and want to expand Wi-Fi coverage due to these two devices, as if they work as a mesh.
SSID must be the same.

TAP200 - WiFi Mesh

Hello, I’m using a RUTX 50 and I want to use a TAP200 to extend the WIFI. Is the mesh functionality also available with the TAP200? Kind regards, Jörg

Info in that post is 1yr old and it’s outdated as TAP200 already supports Wireless mesh (802.11s).

Although user connected TAP200 using wire (I assume) so mesh is not even needed (It is used to extend network without using wire between AP devices). You can just configure both devices to use same SSID and password and most Wi-Fi clients will be able to switch between them.

Also you can play with “802.11v BSS Transition Management” and “802.11r Fast Transition” but they are not strictly necessary and without over complicating setup u can leave them disabled.
