RUTX11 new credit, shows management service active, fails to connect

I have a RUTX11 that had previously been connected to RMS, but ran out of time and needed a new credit.

I applied a new credit. RMS indicates Management service is “Active” but on the very same screen also shows “Last Event: Device could not connect to the system - device did not have an active credit.”.

On the device, which luckily I have physical access too, the RMS service indicates “Failure (Expired license)”

I’ve tried reconnecting several times from the device itself, same errors reported.

How do I get my device back on RMS?

It eventually connected - I guess it takes 20 minutes or so to actually activate the credit. Why?
