RUTX11 – Modem firmware update fails with ErrorCode 174 (FOTA)

Device details:

  • Model: RUTX11

  • Hardware revision: 1010

  • RutOS version: RUTX_R_00.07.19.4

  • Modem: EG06-E

  • Current modem FW: EG06ELAR04A20M4G

Problem description:

The WebUI shows “Internal modem – Update available”.
However, the modem firmware update fails.

CLI attempt using dfota:
Preparing for gsm.modem0 update!
Searching for updates…
Update found! Update size: 17485208
Preparing system for update!
Found cmd port: /dev/ttyUSB2
Starting download!
Command failed: Connection failed
Firmware update verify was unsuccessful… ErrorCode: 174
Reseting modems due to error!

CLI attempt using rut_fota:
Connected to rut.teltonika.lt:5000

…
SSL read returned 0, error 6
Failed to retrieve command from server
Communication has failed

DNS and TCP connectivity to rut.teltonika.lt:5000 are confirmed working.

Please provide:

  • The correct EG06-E modem firmware image for this specific device (manual DFOTA upgrade),
    or

  • Confirmation whether this device / HW revision is eligible for the currently advertised modem update.
