- While there isn’t a specific “rugged” version of the RUTX11, it is well-suited for the use case you mentioned. The RUT906/RUT956 can also be deployed as a direct replacement or alternative to the RUT955. However, the RUT906/956 is not more “rugged” than the RUTX11; both devices offer similar environmental resistance.
Another option is our outdoor router, the OTD140, which is IP55-rated for outdoor durability. However, it lacks certain features found in the RUT906/RUT956. Could you clarify what you mean by “rugged”? Are you referring to a specific IP rating, temperature range, certification, or vibration resistance?
- Regarding the second part of your query, all Teltonika Networks products come with a built-in fuse, as well as additional security mechanisms such as reverse polarity protection and voltage surge/transient protection.
