I cannot access my Video recorder Via my router. the technician cannot log inot the routereihter
Hello,
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the *Ticket ID* field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is *17376*.
Thank you,
Was any port forwarding setup?
Yes I have 3 port forwards configured. They send the traffic from the WAN directly to the LAN IP of my recorder. The soft client uses 38880 and 38881 for HTTPS traffic, and 38882 for UDP. I also have a port forward for 8443 to the same IP for the mobile client access.
When you say the tech cannot login to the router, is that from the local status page or through RMS?
He was attempting to connect to the router via its static public ip and a browser. Currently, my mobile routers are not RMS connected. I think we will likely do that before the next deployment, but the larger issue now is that I need to change data plans and the carrier says the RUTX11 is not supported for that move, so I am looking to get a newer, still dual SIM 5G router. any suggestions for which model to get? I need failover, and high bandwidth connection for accessing and viewing live and recorded video.
Hello,
Maybe you could clarify why the device is not supported for a data plan change?
Regarding the device suggestion, I would recommend the RUTM50 based on your mentioned requirements.
Best regards,
actually, I cant clarify that at all, the owner of our company, (and thus, the account) was told by an AT&T representative that we would need a new device in order to move to the new plan. Perhaps, it is to force a switch to 5G? Unfortunately I was not a fly on the wall for that conversation, so I am not sure what specifically about the RUTX11 that is not supported.
Hello,
Thank you for the additional information.
Both of the mentioned devices should work with AT&T. The device should be ordered with the hardware version for North America. Routers need a SIM card or Esim profile with a mobile data plan from the provider.
Regarding the 5G networks, there should be fallback available to 4G, unless the mobile plan is really specific and it’s a 5G-only.
Best regards,
