RUTX10 LAN1 switchings its status between up and down

Hello guys,

Our company operates multiple computers at different locations. I started installing Teltonika routers to facilitate easier remote access to them. It’s working really well so far. However, one of my Teltonika RUTX10 routers is behaving strangely when it comes to its LAN1 port.

I have attached some screenshots from the event log for better understanding.

The exact problem I’m facing is that I cannot reach my computer, which is connected to LAN1, because the port status keeps switching and ultimately does not stay “up.” I have another device plugged into LAN3 with no problems at all. This issue has been ongoing for about 1.5 weeks, but today, for some reason (as you can see in the screenshot), it switched itself back to “up” again.

Rebooting the router and the computer multiple times did not resolve the issue.

Even though it’s working right now, I want to further investigate what is causing this behavior.

I rely on my devices being reachable almost all the time to keep them synchronized with our digital signage servers.

Hi gerritcms,

Welcome to Teltonika Networks Community! Apologies for the late revert.

Are you experiencing this issue on this device only? Have you tried changing the LAN cables? If a different device is connected on the same port, is it still experiencing intermittent connection?

Let me know your thoughts.

Regards,

Hey Janmiguel,

thanks for the reply.

Yes on this device only. A different device on a different port is working fine.
I can´t swap the devices now. I could do that if needed, by it´s working so far.

I did indeed have the lan cable changed, but it was done after the port turnt itself on again.
During that time, no cable was touched.

I will have an eye on my devices status and give further information/do some more troubleshooting myself.

Greetings

Hi,

Glad to hear that. Let us know if further assistance is needed!
