Hi, I am new to networking. I am trying to connect 2 rutx09 together over the internet. Both rutxs are connected to the internet via internet sim cards and got private dynamic IPs. I have tried with IPSec and OpenVPN without any success (steps from the online manual). Is there a way through VPN to get a static IP? Do I need to bridge mobs1a to wan? Any help would be greatly apreciated.

No, neither IPSEC nor OpenVPN will work in your case at least one public IP address is required.
Look instead at tailscale or zerotier both will work with private addresses.

As @flebourse has mentioned, Tailscale or ZeroTier would be the options you’d want to go for when you don’t have a Public IP address.

This doesn’t require a public IP address either and is quite simple to configure and manage.
