RutX09 cannot update modem firmware

Good evening,
I have a RutX09 which has the latest system firmware (RUTX_R_00.07.08.2) but it says I need to update the modem firmware which is version nr EG06ELAR03A05M4G at present.

When I try to update using the web interface I get an error “Not enough memory in modem filesystem”. Due to this I have expanded the internal memory using a usb stick but the error is still present.

Please see below screen shot. Any assistance to resolve this is greatly welcomed.

Hi Simonj772,

Welcome to Teltonika Networks Community!

Although prompts are appearing to upgrade the modem firmware, it is only a suggestion for clients to have an up-to date software. As you are in the latest FW, you can go directly to System → Firmware .

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Jan Miguel,
Thanks for your help with this. The procedure you have shown is what i am currently doing and once done it throws the error of lack of modem memory.

As the update is offered for this device then surely it should be possible to install it, can you advise a fix for this please? Ie how can I expand the memory for the modem to get this loaded?

Many thanks,

Simon

Hi,

There is another way of upgrading the modem firmware but stability is required to avoid any upgrade issue. If you are willing to proceed, we’ll handle it on a separate platform. Instructions for accessing it will be sent to the email you registered for this forum. Required ticked ID would be 4 digit number of this active case (7350).

Regards,

Good afternoon Jan Miguel,
Yes please arrange for this to be done.

Thank you,

Simon
