RUTx08 Label password not visible

Hi, i have purchased a RUTx08 which i have installed.

I had to do a factory reset on the router but now i can not see the password on the label of the device. How can i retrieve that password?

I have the device Serial Number available if needed

Hello,

If your RUTX08 device is from an older batch, you can try using admin01, which was the default admin password for earlier devices.

If that doesn’t work, please reach out to us for assistance with recovering the password by filling out the “Contact Us” form on our official website here: Teltonika Contact Us.

Best regards,

Hi Martynas,

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Unfortunately i already tried admin01 but it did not work.

I have reached for assistance through the medium you have suggested. Would you happen to know an estimate for the reply since it is a bit urgent?

Regards

Hello,

Apologies for the slight confusion earlier. If you purchased the device directly from us, we can provide the necessary passwords upon request. However, if the device was bought through a reseller, it’s best to contact them, as they may have the password available for you.

Please note that, according to our security guidelines, we do not store default device passwords for more than one month. If the device was not purchased recently, we may be unable to provide the password. We always recommend saving your password before deploying any devices to avoid such issues.

Best regards,

Hi,

It was bought through a reseller, but they do not have the password available.

I had read that you would store the password for at least 3 months on other posts -_-.

The device was registered through RMS but i unregistered it before doing the factory reset. Is there a way to recover the device password from when it was registered to RMS. If not, have i essentially just bricked the router or is there something else that can be done?

Regards

Apologies for the misleading information in previous posts. Our current device password storage policy is 1 month. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the password from RMS logs or through any other methods.

Best regards,
