I am using a RUT950 router (latest firmware) and the RutOS app on iOS. I am trouble setting the Use Case in app, to ”Camper” option. The error message showned is that the TravelMate package in not installed on the device. I do have the TravelMate package installed.
I also looked in the Knowledge Base, but did not find anything else than the steps I did performed to install the package.
I have the same problem with a RUT240 and both firmwares 07.06.13 and 07.06.16.
Travelmate package is installed. Uninstall/Reinstall did not solve the problem.
We apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused. Our RnD team is aware of the situation, and I will update you here as soon as I have any news from them.
One more thing, as we are on the topic of troubleshooting. There is also something wrong on the RutOS app related to adding a new client as interface. When I am scanning for a available WiFi access point, and I do find it, I enter the credentials for that wifi with correct name and psw. But it fails when trying to create the interface. From WebUI I can do exactly the same with no issues.
Can you also check with the team to find a resolution ?
Regarding the issue with the wireless scan, I was unable to reproduce the problem. I scanned for nearby devices, selected my preferred device, entered the credentials, and successfully created a new interface.
Could you please specify if you see any error messages? Additionally, could you provide the steps to replicate this issue?
Thank you for all the information. Unfortunately, I have followed the same steps, and the connection was successful.
Could you please try connecting to a different WiFi device via the app and check if the issue persists?
Additionally, please move closer to the WiFi network you’re trying to connect to and if the signal quality improves, please check if you still experience the same issue.
Did that with three different networks. Same result always. Can you tell me if there are some prerequisites for using this function (like a specific configuration required).
As I said, I able to do that from the WebUI but not from RutOS app.
Could you please confirm what RutOS app version you are currently using? If it’s not the latest version (1.13.0), I kindly ask you to upgrade the app, attempt to reproduce the issue, and let me know the outcome.
Awesome, I just receive the update. The WiFi connectivity works now . I am able to connect to a WiFi network now as a client. The Camper Use case works, BUT there is a small issue there . When I am selecting the WiFi as an Internet source, it scans for the available networks, I press on Join on my network, and I have the spinning wheel but then nothing, it goes back to the list of scanned and available networks.
