Hello,
The answer is not quite straightforward.
While hardware-wise, there are Teltonika devices with modem modules covering frequency bands used in the majority of world regions, there is another - legal - aspect that prevents the import, marketing, sales, or general use of the devices in specific countries.
In most cases, the device must undergo testing or at least certain approval procedures in each individual country, with the exception of Europe, where a whole block of countries accept CE certification.
Different device versions are intended for use in different regions therefore they only have approvals that allow the use of the devices in these particular countries.
In some instances, like the US, it is not enough for the device to be FCC-certified. Major cellular carriers also impose separate certifications. Without them, the device will not work in their networks.
Answering your question about products that work worldwide, your go-to device would be the global variant of RUT241 (denoted as RUT241*3; * is a placeholder to indicate a regular device or an option that has eSIM support).
It comes with the global EG25-G modem module and the device has the most approvals and certifications compared to other Teltonika Networks equipment, although depending on the area where you intend to use the device, I would still recommend looking up the RUT241 certifications wiki page: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT241_Certification_%26_Approvals.
Best regards,
Thanks a lot for answer!
